In addition to offering full scale land development plan services, GVC also offers services for smaller projects that may not require municipal land development plan approval, but do require municipal stormwater management plan approval.
Most municipalities in Southeastern Pennsylvania, as well as many other municipalities throughout the state, have adopted stormwater management ordinances to comply with the Stormwater Management Act of October 4, 1978, P.L. 864, No. 167, typically referred to as “Act 167.” Municipal ordinances developed to comply with Act 167 outline requirements to address stormwater runoff rates, groundwater recharge and water quality. An applicant that is proposing a project that is subject to the requirements of an Act 167 Stormwater Management Ordinance is generally required to submit a stormwater management plan to the municipality in which the project is located to demonstrate compliance with the applicable Ordinance.
Services associated with the preparation and submission of a stormwater management plan may include: topographical survey, plan preparation, stormwater facility design, operations and maintenance agreement preparation and coordination with municipal staff. GVC provides these types of services to current clients on a daily basis.
